Be sure to get copies of all of the “Spirituality Support Resources” available from the NCCA, including: Prayers For Addicted Persons and Their Loved Ones;Spirituality and Recovery From Addictions by Sr. Mary Ellen Merrick, IHM; Serenity Prayer Bookmarks (which also encourage people to reach out to AA, and Al-Anon); When They Won’t (or Can’t) Quit Alcohol or Drugs by Deacon John T. O’Neill. Also encourage your parish to become a member of the NCCA and help us share all of our resources!

REMEMBER AL-ANON/ALATEEN, NARANON! In addition to Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA) , an effective substance addiction ministry/recovery ministry should always include promoting the existence and help available to families from Al-Anon/Alateen, and Naranon. It has been said that for every AA and NA meeting, there should really be 3-4 Al-Anon/Alateen and Naranon meetings.
