The NCCA, in cooperation with Guest House, Inc. (the premiere treatment center for Catholic clergy and religious) will hold its 2008- 58th National Conference in New Orleans on January 22-23-24 at the Astor Crowne Plaza Hotel on Canal St. The Conference theme is 'OUT OF THE DEPTHS" and will feature outstanding speakers and resource persons in the field of addictions treatment/recovery/education.
DR. SANDRA BLOOM ,MD, a nationally recognized expert in dealing with trauma and stress and former president of the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies, will speak on: 'ADDICTION AND TRAUMA- HOPE, HEALING AND RECOVERY.
Other presenters will include:
Deacon Richard "Buzzy" Gaiennie, Director of the New Orleans Bridge House treatment centers and a nationally recognized retreat director who will help attendees better understand the trauma and callenge of 'hitting bottom" and the "climb to recovery".
